The concluding meeting for the year 2007 of the ISSN project took place at the University SS Cyril and Methodius in Skopje in the period from 05.12 to 09.12.2007. Details (including a picture) are avalable here.

The kick-off meeting of the project took place in Southampton on November 26, 2007.

The "System on chip" project was approved by the European authorities. We expect contract to be signed in early September. It is related to redefinition of the curriculum encompassing integrated circuits and system design. Serious amount of the approved money is planned to be invested in new teaching laboratories. Participants are our long term collaborating universities from Southampton, Madrid, and Skopje.

Researchers from LEDA launched for the first time parallel simulation of a mixed mode electronic circuit on a Beowulf cluster in Turkey. That is accomplished within the SEE-Grid project. To our knowledge that is a unique success in the world.

Mission Level Modeling and Simulation Language for Mixed-Signal System-on-Chip Design by Bojan Andjelković, Vančo Litovski and Volker Zerbe is published by The Journal of Circuits, Systems, and Computers in its Volume 16, Number 1, dated as February 2007.

The latest result achieved within the LEDA laboratory is  relating to the SEE-GRID 2 project.  LEDA researchers developed a parallelized version of the Alecsis electronic simulator. New version of that software was named pAless (the application PALESS in the SEE-GRID 2 project). On June 18, Bojan Anđelković performed for the first time experimental run of the simulator on the Grid, utilizing 3 CPUs

PhD thesis "Primena nelinearnog modela idealnog prekidača u simulaciji elektronskih kola (Application of nonlinear ideal switch model in electronic circuit simulation)" by Milan Savić was successfuly deffended on 26th March 2007 at Faculty of Electronic Engeneering. Members of the examining board are: Prof. V. Litovski, Prof. P. Petković, Prof. B. Reljin (Belgrade) Prof. M. Damnjanović and Prof. D. Milovanović.

This thesis is the 800th item in Leda publications database.

Serbian national TV broadcasted a 30 minutes issue about computer waste material with participation of prof. Litovski as leading expert in the field.

New article "Postupci predviđanja količina elektronskog otpada od računara" (The predicting Methods of quatntities of electronic computer's waste) by J. Milojković and V. Litovski published in national magazine "Tehnika - Elektrotehnika".

New IC circuit development started. Preliminary activities, personal task assignment and schedule planning were initiated at small celebration meeting in LEDA laboratory.
